What better way to learn about Montreal's 2sLGBTQ+ food and drink history than to visit some of the actual spaces?! We have created a walking tour of Montréal's queer food and drink culture in English and French. 

Below you will find a description of the route, a map, and a downloadable audio file (english and french versions). We've noted with time stamps when you should click "play" at specific locations (in case you have to take a detour-- a likely phenomenon due to Montreal's notoriously perpetual construction). We've also put a version of the audio file via most podcasting apps as a "Special Episode" for the podcast "Feminist Ingredients for Revolution: A Food and Queer History Podcast."

In addition to the audio files and descriptions on the website, there is an accompanying zine (downloadable as a PDF). 

Kerrilee Commier worked with Dr. Ketchum to develop the tour, make the English zines, perform the English audio, and do the zine layout of both zines. The french translation and french audio recording was done by Maëla Dube. The format of the tour was inspired by the Park Slope Lesbian Walking Tour and Refugee Boulevard Oral History Tour. Thank you to Kelly Vu, Marcela Isuster, Nailisa Tanner, Julie Podmore, and Miriam Ginestier for your advice.

Quelle meilleure façon d'en apprendre davantage sur l'histoire culinaire et gastronomique 2sLGBTQ+ de Montréal que de visiter certains des lieux qui en sont témoins ? Nous avons créé une visite guidée à pied de la culture culinaire et gastronomique queer de Montréal, en anglais et en français. 

Vous trouverez ci-dessous une description de l'itinéraire, une carte et un fichier audio téléchargeable (versions anglaise et française). Nous avons indiqué à quels moments vous devez cliquer sur « play » à des endroits précis (au cas où vous devriez faire un détour, ce qui est probable en raison des travaux perpétuels qui caractérisent Montréal). Nous avons également mis une version du fichier audio sur la plupart des applications de podcasting en tant qu'« épisode spécial » du podcast « Feminist Ingredients for Revolution: A Food and Queer History Podcast ».

En plus des fichiers audio et des descriptions sur le site web, un zine (téléchargeable au format PDF) accompagne la visite. 

Kerrilee Commier a collaboré avec le Dr Ketchum pour élaborer la visite, réaliser les magazines en anglais, enregistrer l'audio en anglais et mettre en page les deux magazines. La traduction française et l'enregistrement audio en français ont été réalisés par Maëla Dube. ITINERARY/ ITINÉRAIRE

This tour covers 3.25 km and should take around one hour (the audio file is 32 minutes, but we have also factored in time to get to each stop). Each location is marked on the map below (also available via Google Maps). For each location, we have noted the time stamp for the corresponding audio.

Ce circuit couvre 3,25 km et dure environ une heure (le fichier audio dure 32 minutes, mais nous avons également pris en compte le temps nécessaire pour se rendre à chaque arrêt). Chaque emplacement est indiqué sur la carte ci-dessous (également disponible via Google Maps). Pour chaque emplacement, nous avons noté l'horodatage correspondant à l'audio.
